Fall 2006

  • Jennifer Xu and Maria Baidakova collaborate on a short animation project
  • Maria Baidakova and Kevin D. Raganit begin to develop the comic series “Ponzi”.
  • M.B. and Kate Rhodes decide on the name for the studio.

Early Spring 2007

  • Stephanie Marino joins the group.
  • At the end of March we proclaimed ourselves as “PiGtAiL Studio”.

Summer 2007

Fall 2007

  • We moved into our new studio!
  • The first official PiGtAiL Meeting took place.  We discussed future projects and the possibility of a studio magazine.
  • Liliana Diaz joins the group

Winter 2007

  • Jennifer Xu and M.B. complete the short comic “Reila”.
  • M.B. completes the short animation “Brain Dead”.

Spring 2008

  • Ponzi chapter 1 completed.  Volume 1 goes into production.

Fall 2008

  • Comic thesis projects go into development
  • Animation short by Jennifer Xu goes into development

Spring 2009

  • Comic adaptation thesis “Woyzeck” by Kate, “Maldoror” by M.B., “Interview with a Vampire” by Lili and “Hamlet Millennium” by Kevin are completed.
  • Animation short “Last War Trailer” completed by Jennifer Xu.  “Last War” theme completed by Kate Rhodes.
  • The first issue of our magazine StoryArk is published.

Summer 2009

  • “Reila” animation short by M.B. goes into production.
  • “Caelum: Under the White Sky” animation short by Jen goes into production.
  • “E-depth Angel” opening theme by Kate completed and mastered.

Fall 2009

  • “One Man Navy” concept goes into production.
  • “Jupitan” comic goes into production.

Spring 2010

  • “Reila” and “Caelum” animations completed and shown at the Dusty’s film festival.
  • Soundtracks for “Reila” and “Caelum” completed.

Summer 2010

  • Moved into a new studio!
  • “The Flight of Four Elements” goes into development.

Fall 2010

  • Kate attends the artists alley at “Nan Desu Kan” to promote the studio.
  • StoryArk Volume 2 is published.
  • One-shot comic “Memoriam” goes into production.
